You have many options to customize your experience in our app and perfectly adjust it for your daily life.
Sign Up
When you log in to the Level Up app for the first time we will need to collect some information on your biometrics and activity level which are used to calculate your tailored calorie and macro requirements.
Customize Calories and Macros
The Level Up app will automatically assign you calories and macros tailored exactly to you. However, if you would like to enter your own calories and macros instead, you can do so under Profile -> Diet Settings -> Set my own Calories and Macros.
Meal Plan
Here you can choose the foods you would like to eat and the Level Up app will assign specific amounts of each food for you, in order to exactly fit your calories and macros which are displayed at the top of the meal plan.
Customize Number of Meals and Meal Labels
The Level Up app also allows to choose the number of meals you would like to have every day along with the label of the meal. Second dinner and a snack? No problem!
Locked Items
The Level Up app allows you to set specific amounts of items as well. Use this feature if you want to ensure you always get a certain amount of your favorite food or if you simply would like to change the amounts that Level Up assigns you. We will calculate your calories and macros around your remaining items!
Copy Day/Clear Day
You can easily copy a meal plan from one day to another using this feature located by tapping the three dots menu in the upper left corner of the screen. In the same location you will also find the clear day option.
Add Food Item
We have over 400,000 foods in our database, however, if we do not have the food you are looking for, you can simply add it under My Foods yourself by entering the information from the nutrition label.
Recipes
Save your favorite recipes here! You can then assign them to your meal plan and we will tell you the exact amount to eat.
Alcohol
You can enter alcohol into your meal plan, however Level Up will not calculate amounts of alcohol for you. Instead, select the alcohol you would like to have, and assign yourself the amount.
Weigh-Ins
Our calorie recommendations are computed using your biometrics. Entering your weigh-ins regularly (once per month) ensures that we will be able to assign you calories tailored to your current Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE).
Change Diet Goal
Level Up will tailor calorie recommendations based on your fitness goals. Ensure that the 'Set my own Calories and Macros' toggle in Profile -> Diet Settings is set to off if you would like to use this feature. We offer goal choices of Fat Loss, Muscle Gain and Maintenance. Our algorithm will adjust your calories depending on your specific goal!
Activity Level
In order to give you more accurate calorie targets we need an estimate of your activity level. We split out your activity level into two categories, Baseline Activity Level (how much activity you do during your job), and Exercise Activity Level (How often and vigorously you work out).
Display Unit Preferences
You can choose between US Standard and Metric units separately for Body Weight, Food Weight, Height and Volume under Profile -> Diet Settings -> Display Units.
